During the spring break of the 2018-2019 school year, the Round Lake High School Music Department will travel and perform at New Orleans! With every trip we take, our goal is to provide students an exciting performance opportunity, exposure to a college campus, and unique cultural and social experiences that broaden their global view.
New Orleans Eligibility & Requirements
Students can go on the New Orleans 2018-2019 Trip if they are: -A 9th-12th grader during the 2018-2019 school year -Enrolled in a curricular choir or band There will be after school rehearsals held for both the band and choir that travels to New Orleans. You must attend these rehearsals to prepare for the New Orleans performance. Those rehearsals are yet to be scheduled. Conflicts with the rehearsals will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Student Booster Account If you want to know how much is in your student booster account from previous fundraising, please log into Charms. To use your student account for New Orleans, fill out a student account use form. This online form is automatically submitted to our booster once you complete. Please, check your student account prior to submitting the request to ensure that you have enough funds to cover your request. If you are using your student booster account for the trip, we will have a separate payment schedule for those requests. We must have those request in prior to the payment deadlines with enough time for our treasurer to process that lump check to send it to the travel company on time. The Fine Arts Boosters are not responsible for any late or missed trip payments when it is due to insufficient funds in a student account. Fundraisers Students will be able to sell chocolate to fundraise for this trip. Students and parents must complete and turn in this form in order to be allowed to participate in the chocolate fundraiser. |
Rehearsal to Prepare for New Orleans Performances
Monday, March 4
Music Music will be determined after registration opens and the directors have a better idea of instrumentation. Financial Questions: If you have any questions about payments or refunds, please contact our travel company directly at (270) 842-1148. Our Entourage Management representatives are Lena Mulcahy and Natalie Gilliam. Payment Schedule September 14, 2018 - $150.00 per person booking deposit November 9, 2018 - $200.00 installment payment January 11, 2019 - $200.00 installment payment February 8, 2019 - Final Payment Do not turn any payments into the high school. If you go the main office or student services, they will not be able to accept a payment for the trip. All payments are handled by Entourage Management. For any questions about payments, you should contact them at (270) 842-1148. Transportation We will be driving to and from New Orleans. If you are planning on arriving there ahead of time or staying longer and your child will be traveling with you one or both ways, you will need to complete this Alternative Transportation Form. The deadline for this form is February 8. These forms should be handed into Mr. Olson or Mr. West. Do not send these forms to Entourage Management. Chaperones Currently, there are no chaperone positions open. All chaperone positions are filled by the music faculty first. If the numbers on the trip increase or a music faculty member is unable to chaperone, we will open applications for chaperones. |
