Mrs. Pulver-Settler's enthusiasm for teaching young people skills in leadership, communication, and team work through instrumental music stems from her own experiences as a student.

After earning her Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2011, Mrs. PS completed her student teaching at Libertyville High School and Hawthorn Middle School North in Vernon Hills. She then joined the ranks of the Northshore Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Mallory Thompson, Director of Bands at Northwestern University. Currently, Mrs. PS performs with the North Suburban Wind Ensemble under the direction of Don Shupe, retired Director of Bands for Libertyville High School and is also pursuing her Masters in Music Education at the VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.
Miss Pulver became Mrs. Pulver-Settler on August 28th, 2016. When possible, she loves spending time relaxing at home with her husband, Ryan, and their cats, Kaya and Professor Nibbles. Her favorite food is sushi, and the way to her heart, is unequivocally through coffee and animals. Mrs. Pulver-Settler loves getting to know new people and solve problems so she hopes to have many phone calls, emails, and visits throughout the school year from her RLMS Band family!
